Sudoku ("the app") is a single-player puzzle game with an optional online daily leaderboard and an optional paid subscription, Sensei Pro. We respect your privacy and collect only what's needed to run the game and improve it. There are no banner or pop-up ads — the only advertising is a short video you can choose to watch to earn an extra life, and only if you want to. There are no third-party analytics SDKs, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
Sent to our servers:
Gameplay data is stored on your device first and uploaded when a connection is available, so the game works fully offline and nothing is lost if you play with no signal.
We never collect your email, phone number, contacts, location, photos, biometric data, or advertising identifiers. We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
If you run out of lives in a normal puzzle, you can choose to watch a short video to continue with an extra life. You never have to — declining simply ends the game, and nothing else in the app shows advertising. The Daily Challenge never offers this, because it is a ranked competition.
These videos are served by Google AdMob. When you choose to watch one, AdMob receives the technical data it needs to deliver a video (such as device type, coarse region and IP address).
Sensei Pro is an optional paid subscription. The whole game — every puzzle, the Daily Challenge, the leaderboards, belts, all the lessons and Hint — stays free.
Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your card, your Apple ID, or any billing details. To keep your subscription working across your devices we use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service, which receives your anonymous device ID and the details of the subscription itself (which plan, whether it is a trial, when it renews or expires). It does not receive your name or any contact details.
You can cancel at any time from Manage or cancel subscription inside the app, or in your Apple ID settings.
Sensei Pro lets you type a question about the puzzle you are playing — for example "why isn't R1C1 removed?". This is the only feature in the app that sends anything you have written to an outside service, and it only happens when you actually type a question and send it.
When you do, the following is sent to Anthropic (the makers of Claude) so it can work out what you are asking:
Your puzzle never leaves your device. The board, your entries, your pencil marks and the solution are not sent. Anthropic is only used to interpret the question — every actual answer about the puzzle is worked out on your device by the app's own solver. Anthropic processes the request to respond to it and, under its API terms, does not use it to train its models. We do not store your questions on our servers.
If you would rather nothing was sent, simply don't use the typed question box: tapping cells to ask the standard questions works entirely on your device, and so does the rest of Sensei.
We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing partners.
The only third parties that receive any data are infrastructure providers strictly required to run the leaderboard:
This app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The whole game can be played offline, and the data we do collect is tied only to a random device identifier. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
You have the right to:
To exercise these rights, email support@ahm-technology.com. We respond within 30 days.
We keep your leaderboard data and saved progress while your account is active. Per-game metrics are kept for 13 months, after which they are reduced to anonymous monthly totals and the individual records are deleted. If you request deletion, or if your account is inactive for 24 months, the associated server-side data is erased.
Data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS 1.2+). Server-side data is stored in an encrypted database. Submissions are validated server-side so tampered results are not accepted.
We may update this policy as the game evolves (for example, if optional Game Center sign-in is added later). We will not retroactively reduce your rights. When material changes are made, the "Effective" date above will update.
